COMMUNICATIVE APPROACH
ASSESSMENT
1. Glossary (20) /deadline: August 18th: make up a glossary with every technical word you find in the texts selected for this course. Write the words in an alphabetical order followed by definitions or explanations. In order to find the necessary information about the concepts, use the Internet search engines. A good one is http://www.google.com
2. Term paper (20) / deadline: June 23rd: write a two-page essay describing the communicative approach.
3. Material development (20) / deadline: August 18th: planning a communicative unit for beginners or intermediate students based on one of the "temas transversais": ethics; health; environment; sexual orientation; cultural plurality; work and consumption.
4. Self evaluation (10) deadline: August 18th
5. Participation (30) 2 marks for each weekly participation (tasks sent after the deadline will get no marks). (print all of them)
Everything must be printed and kept in a folder to be handed in at the end of the semester.
Be careful with your absences. If you do not send the task of one week, you will be considerd absent in four classes. You can miss only three weeks, but I hope to meet you every week.
OUR DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY, WITH TWO DAYS OF TOLERANCE. LATE TASKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, SO AVOID POSTING YOUR MESSAGES ON FRIDAY.
INDIVIDUAL CONNECTION PROBLEMS WILL NOT BE AN EXCUSE FOR LATE WORKS UNLESS OUR LABS ARE OFFLINE FROM MONDAY TO WEDNESDAY.
